Chapter 3: Born of God - The New Nature The Cross was not the end of your story, it was the doorway to your true beginning. Many live with a deep awareness of sin, failure, and weakness, yet very little awareness of what actually took place within them when they were born again. But salvation is not partial. It is not symbolic. It is not external. It is transformational at the core of your being. •The Miracle of Regeneration To be “born again” is not a religious phrase, it is a spiritual reality. “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) This was not presented as an option, it was presented as a necessity. Why? Because the natural man cannot inherit the Kingdom. Flesh cannot produce Spirit. And what is fallen cannot enter what is holy. So God did not adjust your nature, He recreated you. •Born of Incorruptible Seed “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23) This is the substance of your new nature. Not fragile. Not unstable. Not prone to decay. Incorruptible. This means your new nature does not carry the DNA of sin. It does not originate from Adam, it originates from God Himself. This is where the shift must happen: You are not a sinful nature trying to behave righteously. You are a righteous nature learning to live accordingly. •Partakers of the Divine Nature “That by these you might be partakers of the divine nature…” (2 Peter 1:4) This is one of the most profound truths in all of Scripture. You have not just been forgiven, you have been made a partaker of God’s nature. This does not make you God, but it means His life is now your source. • His righteousness - your identity • His love - your nature • His Spirit - your life The New Creation is not separate from God—it is born of Him. •The Spirit Within At the moment of regeneration, the Holy Spirit did not come to visit, He came to dwell. “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16) This changes everything. God is no longer external, distant, or occasional. He is internal, present, and constant. You do not need to strive to “get close” to God, you are already one with Him in Spirit. “He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” (1 Corinthians 6:17) This is union at the deepest level. •A New Identity, Not a Dual Nature One of the greatest misunderstandings in the believer’s life is the idea of having two natures, one sinful and one righteous, constantly battling within. But Scripture does not teach that you are both. It teaches that: • the old man is crucified • the new man is created The conflict you feel is not two natures, it is spirit vs unrenewed mind. Your spirit is made new, righteous, and aligned with God. But your mind must be renewed to come into agreement with that truth. •Righteous by Nature “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” (Ephesians 4:24) Notice this carefully: You are not trying to become righteous. You were created righteous. Righteousness is not just a legal standing, it is a nature within you. This is why behavior flows from identity. When you see yourself rightly, you will begin to live rightly. •The End of Sin-Consciousness Many believers live with a constant awareness of sin: • trying not to fail • trying not to fall • trying not to disappoint God But this keeps the focus on self, not Christ. The New Creation is not sin-conscious, it is Christ-conscious. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” (Romans 8:2) Freedom is not found in focusing on sin less, it is found in focusing on Christ more. •Living From the Inside Out The New Creation life flows from within. Not: • external rules - internal pressure But: • internal nature - external expression This is the difference between law and grace. The law demanded from the outside. Grace supplies from the inside. •The Key: Identity Established in Truth Everything now flows from this: You must become established in your new identity. Not occasionally believing it. Not confessing it when you feel strong. But being rooted in it. “As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him…” (Colossians 2:6-7) Rooted identity produces stable living. •Activation: Live as One Born of God This is your reality: You are born of God. You carry His nature. You are not who you were. So now: • think from this place • speak from this place • live from this place Reject every identity that contradicts your new nature. •Prayer Father, Thank You that I am born of You. Not of flesh, not of man, but of Your Spirit. Establish this truth deeply within me, That I am a new creation, carrying Your nature. Where I have seen myself wrongly, Renew my mind and align me with truth. Teach me to live from the inside out, Led by Your Spirit, Grounded in righteousness, And established in Christ. I receive fully who I am in You. In Jesus’ Name. •Next, we move into a cornerstone revelation that unlocks everything: Chapter 4: Union with Christ – “Not I, But Christ” This is where identity becomes abiding reality, and striving truly ends.
