Chapter 17: Love - The Nature of Glory Now we come to the highest expression of the New Creation. Not power. Not gifting. Not revelation alone. But love. Because everything God does flows from His nature, and His nature is love. Love is not merely an attribute of God. It is His nature. “God is love…” (1 John 4:8) This means love is not optional in the believer’s life, it is the very evidence that Christ is being formed within you. Without love: •revelation becomes pride •authority becomes control •faith becomes mechanical •ministry becomes performance But with love, everything reflects the heart of God. •Love: The Highest Expression “And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.” (1 Corinthians 13:13) Love is greater because love is eternal. Faith will one day become sight. Hope will one day be fulfilled. But love remains forever. This is why maturity is not measured merely by gifting, but by love expressed consistently. •The Glory Nature of God Glory is not just power, it is the revealed nature of God. And the highest revelation of His nature is love. When Moses asked to see God’s glory, God revealed: •mercy =goodness •compassion Glory is not cold power. It is love made visible. •Love Is the Fulfilment “Love is the fulfilling of the law.” (Romans 13:10) The law demanded outward behavior. Love transforms inward motive. When love governs the heart: •obedience becomes natural •holiness becomes relational •righteousness becomes expression Love fulfils what rules never could. •The Love of the New Creation The love of God is not something you manufacture, it is something poured within you. “The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost…” (Romans 5:5) This means you are not trying to create divine love through human effort. The Spirit supplies it from within. Your responsibility is to: •yield to it •walk in it •express it •Love Revealed Through Sacrifice “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life…” (John 15:13) Love is not merely emotion, it is self-giving. True love: •serves •sacrifices •forgives •endures This is the opposite of the flesh, which seeks: •self-preservation •recognition •control Love lays itself down for the sake of others. •Love and Humility Love cannot exist apart from humility. Pride seeks: •to be seen •to be right •to be exalted Love seeks: •to serve •to restore •to lift others This is the nature of Christ. •Walking in Love Under Pressure Anyone can appear loving when circumstances are easy. But love is revealed: •under pressure •in offense •in misunderstanding •when patience is required This is where the New Creation nature is tested and expressed. •Forgiveness: Love in Action “Forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4:32) Forgiveness is one of the clearest expressions of divine love. Not because people deserve it, But because Christ forgave you. Unforgiveness hardens the heart. Love keeps the heart free. •Love as Spiritual Maturity Spiritual maturity is not measured by: •knowledge alone •gifting alone •outward activity alone It is measured by: •love •patience •humility •consistency in character The mature believer reflects the heart of Christ. •Perfect Love Casts Out Fear “Perfect love casteth out fear…” (1 John 4:18) Fear thrives where love is not fully realised. But when you become rooted in God’s love: •insecurity loses power •striving fades •confidence grows Love stabilises the heart. •The Key: Yield to Love The New Creation life is not sustained through pressure, it is sustained through love flowing from union with God. You do not force it. You yield to it. •Living This Daily Walking in love means: •responding gently under pressure •forgiving quickly •choosing humility •serving without recognition •valuing people rightly This is glory expressed practically. •Activation: Become Love-Conscious Today, shift your focus: Not: • “How do I protect myself?” But: • “How do I reveal Christ?” Choose: •patience over reaction •forgiveness over offense •humility over pride Let love govern your life. •Prayer Father, Reveal Your love more deeply within me. Let Your nature become my nature, And Your heart become my response. Where pride, offense, or selfishness remain, Refine me and align me with Christ. Teach me to walk in love consistently. Not only in words, But in action, sacrifice, and humility. Let my life reveal Your glory through love. In Jesus’ Name. Next, we move into one of the most powerful and revealing “dimensions” of the New Creation life: Chapter 18: The Power of the Tongue This is where we uncover how words reveal identity, release authority, and shape spiritual atmosphere. (PS:- There are dimensions in the Glory, seek the Lord about this, the Lord will reveal beautiful truths about this topic for them who seek.)
